The Selfcare Studio ("we", "us") is a boutique esthetics studio in Austin, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how it is protected.
What we collect
- Consent & waiver form. When you sign our online waiver we collect your name, date of birth, contact details, home address, emergency contact, the treatment you're booking, relevant health history (conditions, allergies, medications), your acknowledgments, and your electronic signature.
- Messages. If you contact us on WhatsApp, Instagram, phone, or email, we see the information you choose to send. Those platforms have their own privacy policies.
- No tracking. This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Why we collect it
- To screen for contraindications and perform your treatment safely
- To keep a client record of signed consent, as professional standards and our insurance require
- To contact you about your appointment (confirmations, prep, aftercare)
We do not sell your information, and we never use your health information for marketing.
Where it is stored
Waiver submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, encrypted at rest, with access restricted to the studio owner. Form submissions travel over HTTPS only.
How long we keep it
Signed waivers are retained for as long as reasonably required for professional record-keeping and insurance purposes (typically 3 years after your last appointment), after which they are deleted.
Photographs
Before-and-after photos taken for your client record stay private. We only publish anonymized photos in our portfolio or social media if you explicitly opted in on the waiver form — and you can withdraw that consent at any time with one message.
Your choices
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete your information (where retention isn't required for legal or insurance reasons)
- Withdraw photo consent at any time
